Suzuki Burgman Street Electric 2025: Premium Scooter Goes Fully Electric!

SUZUKI Burgman Street Electric 2025: Suzuki revealed its global development plans earlier this year, giving us an idea of when the Burgman Electric will be launched. Suzuki has unveiled the Burgman Electric, which is called the e-Burgman.

We expect the electric motor to offer the same performance as the 110cc ICE scooter. Suzuki may launch this electric scooter at an expected price of around Rs 120 lakh (ex-showroom).

It will compete with the Bajaj Chetak Electric, Ather 450 Plus, TVS iQube Electric, and the upcoming Honda Activa Electric in its segment.

Suzuki has been testing its Burgman electric scooter in India for quite some time now, and spy pictures of it have surfaced several times.

However, now the Hamamatsu-based brand has fully unveiled the e-Burgman overseas and has also revealed most of its specifications.

  • The battery pack can be replaced at Honda Mobile Power Pack e stations.
  • Peak power same as the TVS iQube S, Bajaj Chetak

Feature and Tech

The main news here is that Suzuki’s e-Burgman will deviate from earlier patent drawings in terms of the way the battery pack is installed. Earlier documents showed a fixed battery pack, but the production-spec E-Burgman features a swappable battery pack instead.

  • Although the capacity of the swappable lithium-ion battery is still not revealed, Suzuki claims the e-Burgman has a range of 44 km when driven at a steady speed of 60 kmph on a flat surface.”
  • The battery pack of the e-Burgman can be replaced and recharged at Honda Mobile Power Pack e: swapping stations.
  • The maximum power of the E-Burgman is said to be 4 kW, which is equal to the TVS iQube S and Bajaj Chetak.
  • Another notable thing is that the E-Burgman is 36 kg heavier than the recently launched Burgman Street EX.
  • At 147 kg, it is one of the heaviest electric scooters and is 28 kg heavier than something like the iQube S.

Design and Style

The Suzuki Burgman Street Electric retains the maxi-scooter design of the petrol-powered model, with a bulbous front apron and a long tail section.

The electric version features a white and blue dual-tone color scheme and no exhaust.

It is expected to get features like a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, and possibly a USB charger.

The electric Burgman Street largely mirrors the design of the standard Burgman Street 125, including the overall silhouette and bodywork.

The front fairing retains its chunky design, while the tail section could be slightly narrower.

The electric model is likely to have a unique white and blue dual-tone color scheme, which is not available on the petrol version.

One major visual difference is the lack of an exhaust system on the electric model, which indicates its electric power train.

The petrol version features a swing arm-mounted rear monoshock, while the electric model might have twin shock absorbers at the rear.

Engine and Performance

The Suzuki Burgman Street is available as both a gasoline-powered scooter and an upcoming electric version.

The standard Burgman Street is powered by a 124cc engine, while the electric version is powered by a 4kW motor that will offer performance equivalent to a 110cc gasoline scooter.

  • Engine: 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine.
  • Power: 8.7 PS (8.58 bhp) @ 6750 rpm.
  • Torque: 10 Nm @ 5500 rpm.
  • Transmission: CVT gearbox.
  • Fuel Efficiency: 48 kmph (claimed).

Price and Variants

Suzuki Burgman Street is available in both petrol and electric versions. Petrol Burgman Street 125 has three variants: Standard, Ride Connect Edition, and the EX. Electric Burgman Street is expected to be launched in India around October 2025, with an expected price of ₹ 105,000 to ₹ 120,000.
