The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 made its global debut at EICMA 2024, followed by multiple city-level showcases across India. These public displays were part of Royal Enfield’s strategy to introduce customers to its upcoming EV and build a positive brand perception.

The bike initially faced criticism for its unconventional styling, lack of exhaust note, and body proportions, which did not go in sync with the brand’s existing lineup.

Positioned as an urban electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6 is capable of short-distance rides beyond city limits but isn’t meant for long-haul touring. It has been developed completely in-house under RE’s new EV sub-brand, with several technologies filed under new patents.

Feature and Tech

According to the report, the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 is Royal Enfield’s first electric motorcycle, which blends retro design and modern technology. Its key features include a circular TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, cornering ABS, and traction control.

It also gets customizable riding modes, LED lighting, and a digital display, and some models even have girder fork suspension. The bike is expected to have a range of around 160km and a top speed of 115 km/h, suitable for city commutes. 

The Flying Flea C6 retains the Royal Enfield hallmarks with a modern twist, including a slim frame and aluminum chassis. A full-color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity provides information to riders and allows smartphone integration.

The bike is equipped with cornering ABS and traction control, enhancing rider safety. 

Riders can choose from over 2 lakh customizable riding modes, tailoring the bike’s performance to their preferences. 

The Flying Flea C6 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QWM2290 chipset, which enables 4G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity via the Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud platform.
