New Maruti Hustler 2025
Earlier this year we got spy pictures of the Maruti Suzuki Hustler. This mini SUV was spotted testing on Indian roads. From the outside, the car has a boxy design, and some elements are inspired by the bigger Jimmy.

While on the inside, we can expect the model to get a 9-inch infotainment screen, dashboard-mounted gearbox, a semi digital instrument cluster and a dashboard storage box, which are currently offered with the Japanese spec model.
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to shake up the compact crossover segment with the all-new Maruti Suzuki Hustler. This mini-SUV combines boxy retro charm with modern features, compact dimensions, and impressive practicality, making it the perfect city car for the next generation of urban explorers.
Originally launched under Suzuki’s Japanese portfolio, the Hustler is now expected to make its way to Indian shores, bringing with it a refreshing take on design, space, and efficiency.
Design & Style
Currently, the model sold in Japan is powered by a small 660 cc unit with a CVT gearbox option. However, for the Indian spec we expect it to get a bigger 1.0-litre or a 1.2-litre petrol engine option. We also expect the Hustler to come mated to an AMT gearbox option in order to deliver decent performance and mileage.
- That said, apart from the e Vitara, we highly expect Maruti to showcase the Hustler at the Auto Expo!
- Once launched, the New Maruti Hustler will compete against the likes of Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter.
- The Maruti Suzuki Hustler has a playful yet bold design that effortlessly blends retro elements with modern aesthetics.
- It looks compact yet confident, quirky yet purposeful — a rare combination in today’s SUV market.
- Boxy silhouette with upright proportions.
- Circular projector headlamps with LED DRLs.
- Large grille with black or chrome inserts.
- Dual-tone color options for added flair.
- Contrasting roof and mirror caps.
- Chunky wheel arches with black cladding.
- 15-inch alloy wheels with a funky design.
- Tall stance with excellent ground clearance.
- The Hustler’s urban crossover look makes it ideal for young buyers who want a small car that turns heads while zipping through narrow city lanes.
Engine & Performance
The Hustler is expected to be powered by small yet efficient petrol engines, with mild-hybrid technology options. Built on Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform, it ensures lightweight construction and peppy performance.
Some global variants also include a mild-hybrid setup that adds torque assist and improves efficiency, which could be a game-changer if introduced in India.
Tech & Safety – Big on Features, Small on Footprint Even with its micro-SUV size, the Hustler doesn’t compromise on modern tech and essential safety features. Maruti is likely to pack this compact vehicle with equipment those appeals to tech-savvy buyers.
Safety Features (Expected)
- Smart Play Studio touch screen system
- Reverse parking camera and sensors
- Keyless entry and push-button start
- Digital MID with customizable display
- ABS with EBD
- Dual front airbags
- Hill hold assist
- ESC (Electronic Stability Control) on top trims
- ISOFIX child seat mounts
