Mahindra BE 6: The BE 6 is Mahindra’s first-born electric vehicle, built on an advanced INGLO platform designed for electric vehicles. It is a new coupe-style SUV that combines the latest technology with high efficiency and strong performance.

The Mahindra BE 6 is an all-electric SUV with two battery pack options (59 kWh and 79 kWh), offering a range of up to 682 km. The 79 kWh battery pack claims a range of 682 km as per the MIDC cycle.

The BE 6 is available in five variants, with the Pack Two variant priced at Rs 21.90 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan-India). The BE 6 is positioned as a mid-segment electric SUV, competing with models such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curve EV, and MG ZS EV.

Design & Style

Mahindra BE 6E Exterior and Interior Styling:

• The BE 6 retains most of the design elements from the concept car.
• These include C-shaped LED DRLs, aero-spec dual-tone alloy wheels, sloping roofline, glossy black body cladding,
• Features include a full-length LED light bar on the tailgate, a new Mahindra Twin Peaks logo, and a chunky rear diffuser.
• Inside, the Mahindra BE6 features a new two-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a backlit BE logo,
• Dual digital screens for the driver display and infotainment system, and an airplane-inspired gear lever.
• Additionally, the center console features a drive mode selector, front armrest, engine start-stop button, and cup holders.
• An enhanced heads-up display and a Level 2 ADAS suite are also offered.

Battery and Range:

The BE 6 comes with two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The 79 kWh battery pack claims a range of 682 km as per the MIDC cycle. The 59 kWh battery pack offers a range of 480 km.

Performance and Charging:

• The BE 6 can be recharged from 20-80 percent in 20 minutes using a 175kW charger.
• The BE 6 offers a range of 500+ kilometers on a single full charge.
• The BE 6 is available with 59 and 79 kWh battery packs, which are mated to a single electric motor that powers the rear wheels.
• The most powerful one produces 281 bhp and 280 Nm of torque.
• According to the MIDC Cycle, Mahindra claims that it can run up to 682 km on a single full charge.
• The battery can be charged from 20-80 per cent in 20 minutes using a 175kW charger.

Features and Key

The BE 6 features dual-pod auto LED headlights, LED tail lights, and front fog lamps with cornering function. It has a 140-inch touch screen display. The Pack Two variant, for example, has a 59 kWh battery pack and a 231 PS electric motor.

• The big highlight of the BE 6’s cabin is a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated BE logo and touch capacitive controls.
• This unit is not new, as all the recent Tata cars get this two-spoke steering wheel with a glow-up Tata logo.
• Other than that, the SUV’s dashboard is dominated by a twin-display setup with AC vents and a centre console arm that divides both front passenger spaces.
• Another interesting addition is a strap-like door grab handle on the inside, which adds a nice touch to the cabin of the BE 6.
• Some notable features include wireless mobile charging, automatic climate control, drive modes, panoramic sunroof, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon-sourced music system, and OTA updates.

Pricing and Variants

The BE6 is priced between Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan-India). It is available in five variants: Pack One, Pack One Above, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three.
