Stellantis has revealed that it will introduce the Chinese electric car maker Leap Motor to India. The Stellantis group currently has two brands in the Indian market, Jeep and Citroen.
With the introduction of the Leap motor, Stellantis will target the growing EV market in India and will go up against mass car brands such as Mahindra and Tata, as well as premium carmakers such as BYD.
While Leap Motor’s entry into the Indian market is confirmed, when the brand is going to start operations is yet to be known.
Design and Style
The carmaker is currently active in 23 countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and Nepal. The carmaker has a total of 3 models in its portfolio, including the T03 compact hatchback, the flagship Leapmotor C10 with range extender option, and the soon-to-be-launched B10.

It remains to be seen which of these cars will be introduced first in the Indian market, but here is a brief description of all of them.
The T03 is a small hatchback with a rounded and curved design reminiscent of the Fiat 500. It has a large headlight housing at the front, which also houses DRLs.
It gets body-color door handles, blacked-out ORVMs, and wrap-around taillights. The cabin of the T03 is minimalistic and features a three-spoke steering wheel and a touch screen infotainment system mounted on a layered dashboard. It also gets a sunroof.
Engine and Performance
It comes with a single powertrain option, specifications of which are as follows:
- Battery Pack: 37.3 kWh
- Power: 95 PS
- Claimed Range (NEDC): Up to 395 km (in urban cycle)
Feature and Tech
The Leap Motor C10 is the flagship offering from the carmaker, which boasts a sharp and sleek design. Even the cabin design is minimalistic and can be had in two themes: all-black or black/brown.

Leap Motor, which specializes in electric vehicles, offers the C10 with two power trains: a pure electric version or an electric vehicle with a range extender or a small pack with a range extender.
The latter basically uses an ICE engine to charge the C10’s battery using a 1.5-litre petrol engine (68 PS), while propulsion is taken care of by the electric powertrain.
The larger battery pack can charge from 30 to 80 percent in 30 minutes, while the range extender version with a smaller battery can do the same in 18 minutes.
The Leap Motor B10 is the next product from the Chinese carmaker for the global markets. It sits below the C10 in the carmaker’s lineup, but its design is reminiscent of the carmaker’s flagship offering.
Even the interior of the B10 looks premium, with a minimalist design along with plenty of ambient lighting on the AC vents and door handles. Leap Motor has not yet revealed the powertrain specifications of the B10.
Price and Variants
Leap Motor C10 is an upcoming electric SUV that is expected to be launched in India. It is expected to be priced between ₹13 – 18 Lakh ex-showrooms, with a 5-seater capacity. The C10 is anticipated to be a competitor to models like the Tata Nexon EV, MG Windsor EV, and Mahindra XEV 4e. The C10 is expected to launch in India in January 2026.
