About Nissan Magnite CNG 2025

A significant success for Nissan’s India operations has come from its Magnite model, which has achieved 2 lakh sales, with 1.5 lakh units sold domestically and 50,000 exported.

Magnite power trains are E20 fuel compliant, allowing customers to use blended fuels in both the naturally aspirated version and the turbocharged variant.

This initiative is aimed at providing alternative fuel options to consumers and adding value to the Nissan Magnite CNG. This means that customers can use a blend of 20 percent ethanol and 80 percent gasoline in any engine without any problems.

The company is now introducing a CNG model of the car with a CNG kit for the Magnite 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a manual gearbox.

Essential Details and Features

The CNG kit for the Nissan Magnite is fully developed and manufactured by Motozen, a third-party expert, ensuring that it meets all regulatory standards.

Customers can get this complete retrofit at an additional cost of just Rs 74,999. Ensuring safety and compliance, the installation of these CNG kits will be done at government-approved fitment.

All CNG kits will be certified and homologated, ensuring that they meet current local laws and safety standards. Motozen will also provide a warranty for the components of the kit.

The CNG kit option is only available for Magnite variants equipped with a manual gearbox with the 1L regular petrol engine, which includes Visia, Visia Plus, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna Plus.

Customers who opt for the CNG retrofit kit can expect significantly better mileage, making it a cost-effective option for daily commutes and long drives.

Nissan Motor India is redefining its commitment to the Indian market, announcing upcoming SUV launches and expanding the Magnite range with a new CNG variant.

Launched in Phases in 2025

This environmentally friendly CNG option will be introduced across the country in a phased manner. In the first phase, Nissan customers in 7 states can order CNG kit installation through Nissan authorized dealerships:

• Karnataka
• Delhi-NCR
• Haryana

Nissan plans to expand this offer to other states in the second phase. Mr. Saurabh Bhatt, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said:

This will be done at authorized fitting centers for customers. We are confident that this initiative will enhance the value proposition and practicality of the popular compact SUV.

Focus on Magnite:

As of now, the main focus is on Magnite, which is exported to over 65 countries, including the left-hand-drive (LHD) market. The export list includes regions such as the Middle East, Latin America, North Africa, and Asia Pacific.

Nissan has achieved E20 compliance for the Magnite’s engine. Customers can now choose a CNG retrofit option with their Magnite at the dealer level.

The cost of the device and installation is Rs 74,999. The warranty of these CNG kits will be 3 years or 1 lakh km (whichever comes first).
