Feature and Tech

The new LCD console is not as attractive as the TFT console and doesn’t have all the features. So, how is this one? 

• Well, this console is simple, and that’s where its charm lies.
• The white readouts on the black screen are very bright, and their readability is excellent.
• We rode the scooter on a sunny day, and even when the sun was right above our heads,
• I could easily read all the vitals on the console while on the go.
• And as far as features go, yes, it doesn’t have as many features as the TFT, but the important ones are retained.
• The excellent hill hold, turn-by-turn navigation, and reverse mode have all been retained, and honestly, the other features are not really needed.
• While they may look attractive on paper, most of them aren’t really used by most customers.
• And its simpler layout also means it’s more sensitive to input.
• All in all, this LCD console presents itself as a simpler version of the TFT and not something that looks like it’s made to cut costs.
• It shows us that simple isn’t bad, at all.

Don’t get us wrong, there’s nothing wrong with the design of the Ather 450S. It’s just that the design has remained unchanged for the past five years.

• Ather has managed to create a more affordable 450 that doesn’t feel like a compromise in any way.
• Every cost-cutting step has been taken very carefully, and the scooter doesn’t feel like it has been designed with any particular cost in mind.
