Design & Style
The BMW F 450 GS is a twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle from the German bike maker. Although currently in its concept stage, the production-spec motorcycle is expected to be launched in India in late 2025.

The F 450 GS borrows its styling cues from the flagship BMW R 1300 GS. The motorcycle looks like a quintessential baby GS with its angular beak, large fuel tank, sleek radiator shrouds, and slim tail section.
The concept model is finished in white, blue, and red colors, inspired by the GS Trophy color schemes of its bigger siblings.
At the heart of the motorcycle is an all-new 450cc, parallel-twin engine. This liquid-cooled motor develops 48 bhp and nearly 45Nm of peak torque. BMW claims that because of the offset ignition, the engine is rev-happy and quite characterful.
BMW has used lighter materials like magnesium to make the motor lightweight.
Engine & Performance
The BMW F 450 GS features a newly developed, 450cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 48 bhp and around 45 Nm of peak torque.
This engine is designed to be rev-happy and characterful, with an offset ignition and the use of lighter materials like magnesium. The bike is also known for its light kerb weight of 175kg, which contributes to its agility.
The BMW F 450 GS Engine Capacity is 450cc, an Inline twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled type. Power is 48 bhp, with Torque around 45Nm, and Transmission Six-speed gearbox.
Features & Tech
Feature-wise, the F 450 GS will get all-LED lighting, multiple ride modes, cornering ABS, traction control, and more. It also gets a 6.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.
Once launched, the BMW F 450 GS will rival the KTM 390 Adventure, CFMoto 450MT, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
The BMW F 450 GS uses an all-new lightweight chassis that is claimed to offer agility and nimbleness to its handling package while also adding strength and rigidity to withstand the demands of off-road riding.
The BMW F 450 GS concept gets upside-down forks up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle rides on 19/17-inch tubeless spoke wheels and tips the scales at 175kg. Braking duties, meanwhile, are taken care of by disc brakes at both ends.
Price & Variants
The concept bike was showcased with tubeless spoke wheels, but the production-spec bikes, both of which were spotted in India and Germany, were running alloy wheels. This leads us to speculate that the BMW F 450 GS could be offered in two trims.
The first variant will be more touring-specific and will feature alloy wheels, and this would also be the more affordable variant of the two. The second variant will be more off-road focused and come equipped with tubeless alloy wheels, but will also be more expensive.
Just like the BMW G 310 GS, the upcoming BMW F 450 GS will be manufactured in India by TVS, and it will be exported globally. By manufacturing in India, BMW can better control the cost of the ADV bike while maintaining its quality.
We expect the pricing to be in the premium end as it’s a twin-cylinder and it carries the BMW badge, so our estimate is around ₹4.50-4.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
The BMW F 450 GS is expected to be launched by the end of 2025, with a potential unveiling at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, according to multiple sources. The bike has already been globally showcased at EICMA 2024 and the Auto Expo 2025 in New Delhi.
